LAMIRSA offers MIRECIDE®, a line of preservatives that extend the shelf life and increase the safety of cosmetic products.

These preservatives are effective against bacterial and fungal contamination, and some even impart disinfectant properties to products.

They stand out for their high effectiveness in preventing deterioration, efficacy at low doses for greater savings, safety in handling, and extension of the useful life of cleaning products.

MIRECIDE®, includes a range of preservatives and emollients, such as potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, benzyl alcohol phenoxyethanol and various organic acids, in formulations that often combine several of them to provide broad spectrum preservative efficacy against different types of microorganisms.

Emollients with antimicrobial properties, such as pentylene glycol and ethylhexylglycerin, also offer moisturizing properties. Traditional preservatives, such as bronopol and MIC/MI, are also offered for stronger biocidal action in aqueous environments.

Offering specialized services for the cosmetic sector, we conduct Challenge Tests for antimicrobial protection (UNE-EN ISO 11930:2019), microbiological testing, and biocide residue analysis. Our services also include microbiological audits, hygiene consultancy, and strain identification to optimize biocide effectiveness in production environments.
